aright let me rephrase, im going to buy a 2006 liter bike and have heard the rumors of the 1000rr being underpowered, since im 19 years old there arent a whole lot of people around that are too eager to let me hop on their new 1000cc bike and test it out. i have a feeling that no matter what i get i wont be dissapointed but im just doing some research. thank you for any input.

Not sure about 1/4 mile times, but I take my buddies '04 R1 pretty easily with my '05 1kRR Don't listen to much to what people say about power comparisons, since these differences are pretty much hundreths of seconds.

Its not all quarter mile times that makes a good bike, they said the 04 i have was underpowered. But seein how i think its the best handling bike of all, i got it. I have no problem racing R1`s, Gixxers, ZX-10`s on track or road. Its rider skill that makes the biggest difference, in my op.

i know its not all 1/4 mile, but i do want something fast and that i'll have no problem rocking a wheelie down the road on. i've been riding my brothers 04 gixxer 1000 around and i do indeed enjoy riding on just the rear tire now and then. and i do agree that ridere skill is the main thing. anyone that has an 06, hows it treating you? how are the wheelie's? once again thanx for the input.

If you can wheelie then you can wheelie, you`ll not have a problem lifting the front on the 1000RR.
