Default problems with horse power

i noticed that when I put my two brothers slip on I lost power. I used to be going down the street and hop the tire just with throle now I can't. Not only that I think it keeps getting worst. is this posiible with just a slip on? Does the little valve on the original exhaust
as something to do with it?( i mean I know you have to turn it to exactly the same spot, and i don't think I did.
Need some of your input... Thanks in advance..

You definatly need to get a custom map.
The 2 Bros slip-ons don't make much HP on the 1000RR, 2-3 maybe.
However, you'll need to remap (not download) to get that power.

If you are running a PC3, try loading a Zero map instead of whatever you have,
you could be suprised.

Here is the thing.

Every bike that leaves the factory is different. Every bike, techinally would need it's own custom map to be 100% perfect.
Honda just uses a map that is "pretty close" , which for 99% of the bikes (and riders) is fine.

A true CUSTOM map is the only way to go, however that costs $$$.

Downloading a map doesn't mean much. You'd be just as likly to have your bike run better with a D/L "Jardine" map as a "Two Bros" map... maybe some other brand will work better, maybe someone elses "Two Bros" map is better, who knows. You have to Download a few and find one that works the best FOR YOU.

Everyone that uses a Downloaded map, and has never had a custom says "Download, its close enough and free"
Everyone that has a Custom map (ie: spent money) says it's the best since sliced bread and you gotta have one.

Any good tuner will tell you they've seen bikes come to their shop with a Slip-on and downloaded map claiming its way better then stock, only to find that unhooking the PC (stock map) gained them power back.

I don't mean to sound like an Idiot, correct me if I'm wrong.

If i just unhook the PC, I might get some power back?

Or do I need to buy the PCIII to due this.

I will spend the money if I have to, I want to get the right feedback from you
so that I know what im talking about when I do it. Idon't wanna get ripped off.
your helping me out a lot thanks.

Default RE: problems with horse power

what valve are you talking about?
if you open up the exhaust-you will reshape the power band, usually the lower rpm range will suffer
if your desired actions based on a certain input have changed this might be what you
have encountered, then the fuel injection intervention device(pc111)will bring it back(and then some!!)
when set-up/progemmed properly
let us know what happens!!!
p.s-you have only hit the tip of the iceberg-tuning is never finished
as always let me know if i can help

I was told on this forum that to avoid the FI light comming on I would have to turn the part where the PC valve connects to, to the exact same spot.

Im talking about the little box in the stock exauhst that as the cables connected underneath the gas tank. ( i believe that box is to meet the EPA standars for noide reduction) I took the cables out when I put the new exauhst but i wasn't sure if i lined it right back to the right spot.
