RE: POP into first
I had my 07 1k for a few days all was fine until i "lightly" dropped it on that side and now the foot lever is slightly bent and it now does that also. Is there any scuff marks where it may have been dropped??? Don’t know what causes it but me being clumsy *** didn’t help.

I just bought my first Honda. 2005 CBR1000RR. has 200 miles on it.
I previouslyhad a 01 NinjaZX-6R.
my problem: From neutral i shift to first and feels like a pop going into first gear. That normal?
not like a soft click. Its a significant pop into first gear.

I've been experimenting with ways to reduce the harshness of engaging 1st gear. Sometimes it helps to give the engine a quick rev to ~3k RPM (with the clutch pulled in) and then wait a couple seconds beforeclickingthe shift lever down.

RE: POP into first
hmm.
Mine makes a slight click into gear, but nothing harsher than my friends bikes, R1 GSXR, or Ninjas. One thing to make sure of though. is make sure your rpms are not too high. If you try to shift into gear while bike is warming up or the rpms are high,it will pop into gear. Check your rpms, should be around 1000 rpm or less. If its higher, adjust it lower than this and try it again.
