Opinion on a track bike...
i say keep your 05 titanium 1k since i have the same bike and dont see many out there.get a 600 as a track bike. i havent rode a 600 on the track but im sure it is lots of fun. as far as the zx14 goes i wouldnt spend a pennyon that bike.
What is your motivation to get a ZX14? It is faster in a straight line and more comfortable, but other than that I would keep your 1000RR.
I have also heard a lot of people rave about the 600 on the track. I am sure it would be more fun to have a 600 on the track rather than a 1000.

My first two bikes have been Kawi's and I put a lot of miles cruising. I prefer the bigger bikes, but like canyon carving once in a while.
I've heard how much fun a 600 is on the track, butI'm a little big forriding a600 for astreetbike everyday as I have ridden them before, so I'd like to stay with either my 1Krr or move to another big bike. If I do, I don't want a liter superbike, I'd rather have a comfortable big sportbike a la ZX-14..I think the 'Busa is fugly and not as comfortable.

you said it... you put ALOT OF MILES... in that case you would be much happier with the zx-14. the zx-14 is definatly a bike to have if you want to put alot of miles on,, it is soooo comfy, no fatigue, and it's still very quick for a big bike. the kawi was designed as a SPORT TOURING and the cbr is obviously for something totally opposite of sport touring. i think whoever bashes the kawi is a complete fool because it is hands down one of the best sport touring bikes ever made.
still love my rr tho

Don't get me wrong, with the exception of the electrical problem, I love my RR. With The Seargent seat it almost feels like a sport touring bike. I thought about getting those hella bars or whatever you call them, so on long distances I could raise them for a more comfortable ride.
As my year 1KRR is fairly heavy in comparison to the other Liter bikes, having my previous bike being a ZX-7, my 1KRR feels light. I'm not really concerned about power at the track just having fun as I'm sure I can with a liter bike. But it would seem that the consensus is on riding a 600 at the track...

There's a member on here that has both 600rr and the 1000rr,and he runs faster laps with his 600rr.

i ended up selling all the track plastic for the 1KRR and making it a street only bike
Think that may be because of the indimidation factor?
I've been looking at laptimes for AMA pros and the order of speed is:
600 Supersport
600 FX
Superstock
Superbike
With that said, comes the old motto: There's no replacement for displacement
