another oil thread

i guess the search button must be broken

yes you can use car oil as long as it doesnt say energy conserving on the back
the #1 recommended car oil against all that have actually been tested is mobil 1 red and gold cap in 15w50
try this site for info
http://hooliganbiketech.dynup.net/ho...frameindex.htm
it does contain some moly which is bad for clutches but only 30 ppm (parts per million) more than standard honda oil

Do you have UPS or FedEx available to you? If so, I would try to find someone who is willing to ship some right oil out to you. You are just breaking in your bike and I think taking the effort to get the correct oil would be worth it. If not, just use Baxsom's recommendations.

Yeah, I was the one to tell ya, but I never heard what the dealer said. How much did it cost you to ship that far?

Sorry, off topic.

they charged me 1100$ just for the container + 300 cuz i wanted the bike to be inside a wooden box.....but then when it had arrived here the customs here in egypt they charge 32% of the price of the bike if its over 600CC ( punch of thievies) and either u pay or u ship it back so i ended up paying another 3000$ to those mother *********** s .. thing is that i dont like is that the roads here r very crowded i cant even get out the first gear and my hand gets very sore from holding the clutch all the time im driving ..so i ride only now at night time... sucks huh .
