There is no way you can smell burnt rubber from your back tire while traveling at 100mph. I just got my 08 2 weeks ago and have ripped it in everygear and there aint no wheel spinning. Now it will raise up all day long but it won't spin the tires not in the higher gears anyways. You got serious problems with your bike and your gsxr buddy who's telling you its spinnng the tires is blind and shouldn't be riding cause 1 its illegal to drive when your blind and 2 he's going to end up killing someone.

the numbers dont add up... wheel spin at 100mph, in the movies maybe, i think this is just a wonderful story full of magical tourque. Maybe a clutch problem but not wheel spin, JMO peace

Default Aprreciate everybodys 2cents, but heres the verdict

Mine came with the same bridgestones, By the way U definately cannot smell burnt rubber at 100 mph, especially with a helmet on, What is this pre-school? but u can when u stop at a gas station, after roasting your tire half way up the interstate, get off the bike and smell the f**king tire lol....Anways problem solved...Front Brakes dragging bad, The calipers were defective causing the brakes to drag enough to break the tire loose under hard acceleration and the tires pressures were off from the dealer.....Problem Solved Thank God Now after the 600 mile oil change its already ticking...No wonder it was the only left over 2008

the calipers were bad on a BRAND NEW machine? and the tire pressure was off? i would be shocked to see tire pressure off that much that it caused a problem and what problem did it exactly cause?

something just isnt addind up here.

I really do not believe this... I think we were taken guys... there is no way a honda had bad calipers from the showroom.and the 08s came with dunlops not bridgestones unless his dealer switched them out.

I stand corrected I guess some did come with bridgestones.... I know that none of them here at my dealers have bridgestones on them though...

I think most here know its bs, I'm not even gonna bother breaking it down why its bs because its so obvious. Its his story, let em tell it like he wants, but there is no way a bike will spin the wheel in high gear going 100mph+ regardless of how high the tire pressure was.

Before the bikes ever got to the showrooms, some of the mags reported on the bridgestone/dunlop split for dealers across america. RIDE RED OR GO HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
