Hey yall. Newbie here. First off..love this site! Everything for CBR owners, niceee. Just stepped up in a huge way from a 96 Kan-O-Tuna600 to a 2006 cbr1000rr. What a rush! A few questions I have though. First, after doing my first serivce after break in, (which was done at the sealer) I now notice a line of oil from my oil fill plug. I took it off, wiped it clean, and reinstalled it. Again..after some hard riding there is a thin line of oil down the side of my case from the fill plug again? Any ideas? 2nd.. Are the new class of 600 bikes that damn fast or did I get a lemon bike? lol. A buddy i ride with has an 06 GSXR600, full system, remapped fuel system and he holds with me on roll ons..and pretty much speeds up to about 120ish. Im running a Yosh RS5 slip on thats it.

Check the o-ring under your oil fill plug , and yes , they are getting faster

well the 600s are faster
but in this case where you're matching an 06 gsxr600 with an 06 cbr1000rr in a straight line, its DEFINITELY the rider
i wouldn't worry about it though - just take your time getting comfortable with the bike

fWiW on the cbr, the upper injectors start working after 5500, kicks in hard once past 8000 so try launching somewhere in between during roll-ons

 

Thanks yall! I bought a new seal and now waiting for the cold and ice to leave texas so i can see if that works. Thanks for the advise on the injector range mene.. Ill try that next time. think i was under 4000-5000 when we took off..cept fer one time i dropped to 2nd at about 65-70mph and hit it..the front end started comin up on me fast..lol
