Default New slip on and usbiii

Just picked up my new carboncone yoush @ pipe city .I went too pcs site and cant find a map for it the only slipon map they had was for the akrapovich .I thought for sure they would have the Yoush maps,as our poles show them as very popular. My question is ,will the akrapovich map work or do I have to spend another 200 for a custom? By the way my power comander came without the 9v batt and cable.

yes but if it is for an 06 bike there has only been 1 map posted for a slip on and that is the akro one of the PC website

what i was told when i got my arata S/O for my 06 was that i can use an 04/05 map but i have to cut and paste it in the 06 map cells to accomodate the extra rpms of the 06

tried it
didnt work so well

just use the akro one it wont hurt the bike
you wont get stellar performance like from a custom map but it will be something

and technically check out some of birdmans threads on 1000rr.net
he is a dynotuner
his words
"most bikes perform better with a zero map than one that was downloaded"

Birdman is right. I have an 06' 1krr with Yoshi slipon and one teeth down on the front and have down loaded 6 different maps (including Yoshi slip on of the dynojet site) and others that where custom maps of other people. Problem is it is not 100% there is always a point in the rev the bike feels not right . after I talked to birdman I tried to download the zeromap and I do feel that it is better in most revs.(there is always a compromise somewhere in map. unless it is custom to your engine) So now I am trying to find a local dyno tuner to custom map mine as it is the ONLY way to make the bike go 100%.

If you have time, I would try to download a few different maps and try them. Maybe you are lucky and find a good map that is suited to your motor. As for mine I am going to get it customed but until that happens I will run Zero map and maybe keep tryin a few more maps. I really thought i had a good map til I tried Zero map...
