Default New Bike, Need some help.. PLEASE!!

Hey guys, im new to this forum ;-)

Im in the process of purchasing my first bike, (have ridden countless before so i know how to ride). I was looking at the Yamaha r1 but eventually rulled it out due to the problems there having with the 07's.

I am now between 2 bikes, either 06 or 07 Honda Cbr1000rr or 07 Kawasaki Ninja zx10r Black with flames.

Please point me in the right direction!!! the reason i wrote either 06 or 07 for honda is becuase i like the 06 colors better and its the same bike.
Please note i do know how to ride but am far from a professional everyday driver, so i am still learning new things as i ride day by day.
Witch bike will be easier to handle? smoother? easier to throw around and learn on?

I appreciate all of your help guys and please and tips and recommendations are greatly appreciated.

I smell a troll post....but just in case it's not.....forget about a 1000. Go all out and get a Busa since it's pretty sweet to learn on.

who begins to ride on a hayabusa??...i've driven a busa, my dads.., its a sweet ride.. The bike pulls like nothing.. anyways.. i have a cbr1000rr... 2006 and my brother has a 2007 gsxr1000.. which i have driven before..both bikes drive nice... but my fathers freind just bought a 2005 or 2006 zx10r after selling his GSXr750 and he doesnt like it,...I really dont know what to tell you i went through the same thing when i had to choose..At first i wanted the zx10r because it has the most horsepower out of all the 1000cc's that are out.. You will end up liking any bike you get.. I say flip a coin and see what happens..lol

They are both crazy fast. The Honda is a little more forgiving and any "Superbike Shootout" article in the bike magazines will say the same thing.

You are on a Honda Forum and nobody here would recommend the ninja, but they are ALL good bikes. We do have a few that will use sarcasm and recommend a Busa...

Go with the one that appeals to you the most. You won't be dissapointed, just like CBattR said.

Glad somebody picked that up finally

But if this is your first bike to be owned, then you probably don't know how to ride as much as you think you might. Not trying to be an *** here, but riding a buddies bike once or however many times or riding dirt bikes does not qualify you as "know what you're doing" on a powerful street rocket. **** happens real fast on these.
I logged over 8000 miles on a 600 last year alone and moved up to the 1000RR and I'm still trying to get adjusted to it and careful with the power if that gives you any idea of what you're getting into. Before I even bought the 1000, I spent months trying to justify going to a 1000 vs another 600 or 750 (Suzuki) if I was ready for it. I'm glad I did, but it was some serious consideration before hand.

id say get a 2006 red and black RR, but i will warn you i am being biased seeing thats wat i own lol. ive just heard alot of negatives about the ninja. You cant go wrong with any of the 06 colors but personally i only like the black with silver out of the 07. Plus im sure you could get a hell of a deal on a 06

Sport bikes demand more from its rider than non-sport bikes. That said, the 1000RR is a relatively easy bike to ride. If you are a young fella (16-24), take extra care to listen to your head instead of your heart (hormones). Sport bikes and young fellas are a dangerous combination. Definitely take a class (MSF and/or any of the well-known track schools) to learn to ride these bikes properly if you haven't taken one already.
