New aftermarket 08 1krr exhaust.
Hey all, I know there are a few exhausts out there allready for the new 08 1krr. But I wanted to share a bit of info. Taylormade exhausts, www.racetaylormade.com is in the works of making an exhaust "slip on" that will reduce weight and give you about a 5hp gain or about a 9% increase in power. And it is going to look like the 07 GSXR1000 exhaust they make!!! The one with the carbon look shroud around the lower!!!!
I have emailed them and they say that the new exhaust should be out at the end of April.
That thing looks SICK!!!!
Just thought you might want to know if you didn't allready.

Thanks for that bit of info, speed. I really like the aesthetics of the TaylorMade system on the GSX-R. The sketch drawing of the '08 CBR1000RR system on the Taylor homepage looks just as great. Can't wait to see the finished product and resultant gains in HP, torque, and dBs. :P

***UPDATE***
I just got an email reply from Elana at Taylormade. Their 2008 CBR 1000RR system is almost done. They're sending it out to DynoJet in a week or so for testing. After that, it should be available to the public. I'm guessing in a month or so.
BTW, I pick up my '08 1Krr next week. Red/Black. I'm pretty stoked!

Ready to put new exhaust on 08 cbr. I love the smooth power delivery and Im afraid if I put a full system on it might have some rough spots even with A PC and filter. Thinking about Akro slip-on $675 versus Akro racing $1300/ evolution line $2100 fulls. What do u guys thinK?

RE: New aftermarket 08 1krr exhaust.
I am running the stock exhaust and cannot see the point in changing apart from getting a noise out of the thing that I personally think would make an improvement. Not one of us on this forum is gonna be able to max out the capabilities of this bike on the road even as stock so to give it even more power seems a bit daft to me. Only my opinion of course. So in chosing aftermarket cans I would go with whatever pleases your ears and eyes over any performance enhancements because you wont notice the performance enhancement unless you are racing the thing against a clock with .001 second split timing. My choice so far is the Scorpion slip on which just makes a slightly more throaghty rumble than the Twobrothers unit which was my favourite before.
