Default new 1000rr and break-in

hello everyone, I'm new member and want say hello at first. this is my first ever post here with many question

I just bought 06 grey 1000rr and got 150 kms, this bike feels rock solid and darn powerfull even in low rpms.
I made many acceleration-deceleration in 3500-7500 rpm range for proper break-in and filtered the existing oil for shaved parts which is supposedly much more in break-in period.

I am a bit dissappointed about that shaved parts. everyone have it but I don't, except only very small 5 pieces whic is just like sand in size. I saw much more even with 20k bikes.
I suspect there is some magnet keeping this shaved parts, any ideas?...

another question about oil draining plug but not itself... the next one to it... what its supposed to do there? just like an idiot I loosen it, not at all but so close, than screw it back. is it keeping something inside? did I do really idiot thing to loose it?

I also have some observation with the bike that I want share; the engine is vibey btw 5k-6k rpms during acceleration, and more vibey during deceleration in nearly same rpm range, is it common? or is it exhaust burst due to lean mixture(ohh quite much on decel., I need another ear from outside to find it out)...

thanks in advance to everyone who make any comment.

all the best..

I know my english is bad, sorry for that

there is one more bolt next to oil draining plug, only 1 inch btw them, this one is smaller. I have 04-05 service manual and it's there, almost same... I loosen it but put it back than. now I scared that it may keep something inside.

Hi. I did notice my 2006 cbr 1000rr vibrating more than I expected. I rode a 2000 929 for 30,000 miles and never noticed a vibration. Its not terrible but noticable. I would guess that it is normal due to all that rotten power. When people ask me how fast is my bike I tell them it is ROTTEN Fast!..... Sorry I dont know about the drain plug. I havent changed the oil yet. I can be sure to tell you that loosing that wrong bolt did not make you vibrate. Hope I made you feel a bit better. Ride On...................

tkanks, i'm feeling better now. I though we are feeling that vibration because engine is a member of the frame for the sake of stiffness. anyway i'm happy with my bike.

I have an 06 as well. According to all of the reviews on this bike, it is a normal trait to have a vibration at the rpm you were describing. I dont know why at all, the motor has counter balancers, probably due to the bike being lightend up quite a bit.

I know that the bike is much quicker revving then the previous model, so I'll take the vib's for a light, faster and better handling over all package. Oh and the trade of alittle bit of stability.

As far as the bolt, ill find out what it is for you. Hold that thought.

Dude, thats just a flange bolt. No worries as long as you torque it back down. No harm, no foul.
