i have an 07 1000 and on tuesday my friend dropped it doing like 10-15mph and after trying constantly it finally started about 10 mins after but i coudnt ride it since he broke the peg and clutch lever. I disconnected the battery until today and when i try to start it i hear the starter wanting to crank but it just wont start, and on top of that when you turn the key when the rpm guage goes all the way up its not making that little noise it does i checked all the fuses and they are fine.... i cannot take it to the dealer since there going to charge me an arm and a leg and my friend aint gonna pay for ****.... please i need someone with experience to help

sounds like the BAS switch might have hung up.
make sure and check all the ignition kill sources
BAS, kill switch, clutch switch, and kickstand
there maybe something grounding somewhere
fully charge the battery, make sure its in neutral, kill switch is in the on positition and then turn the key. rpms should sweep and the fuel pump should prime.
let us know if that doesnt happen once you check everything.
also do you have a pc3. sometimes they get damaged in crashes and have to be removed to start the bike

I assume the "noise" you mentioned is the fuel pump priming. I'm about 3000 miles away from my service manual, but this might be somehting to run down. Cars come with an inertial switch that cuts off the fuel pump in case of an accident. I am not sure if the CBR has one, but a possibility. Like Baxsom mentioned those should both happen as the key turned. I am about 75% sure that the fuel pump should prime without the clutch or kickstand switch engaged. Also, if you have to get it serviced it will make it easier on your mechanic if you seperate the problem of "it wont start" to "the engine turns over, but wont fire" or "I push the button and the starter doen not operate". Additionally you might want to check the fluid level in the battery, it will leak acid if it turned on its side. If it were me I would check the kickstand area (end of the drain hose) to make sure not got spilled on the bike, it would suck to have a corrosion on the frame or pipe because of that. Baking soda mixed with water will neutralize the acid. Good luck, sorry to hear about your bike.
