you need to get a custom map man... using a map from someone else's bike can actually give you less HP than your bike deserves

completly stock.. its always hot here in california maybe that has something to do with it..and barely got the bike like 4 months ago i doubt it needs anything like air filter n stuff.. but im keeping the rpms under 6 as before i use to go up to 8 or 9 just hit 70miles no light yet but well see in a few days how much those -2 rpms give me...

Don't judge your mileage by the light. Determine your mileage by how much gas you put back into the tank. The light can vary, and may be why some of you think your mileage is so low or so high.

your right. ive had the light com one at different mile ranges but takes in different amouts of fuel...

well after riding like a weenie for this weeks fill up the bike gave me 115 miles for 3 gallons. that would make it aprox 38mpg good improvement but i felt i was goin to slow for 1000rr.. would do if im low in gas cash though.. thanks everyone..

2006 with power commander and 2Bros Racing exhaust mods: I got 50mpg keeping it 4500 rpm or less on mostly (95%) freeway. It will easily drop to 30-40 mpg the minute I jump on the throttle a lot (goof around) and mix in town commuting.

50??? wow thas prety damn good.. but keeping it under 4500 rpm is pretty tough..atleast for me it is

04-05 wasn't very good ongas. The liter bike shootout for those years told us that the CBR had the worst mpg of the liter bikes. I wonder how the '08 will be.
