I have State Farm:

$360 / year for 1000cc - any make / model
Full coverage + additional $1000 medical expenses (came in handy)
w/out medical it's $320 / year

I'm 26
One accident in my car - I was not at fault, minor damage
One bike totaled - was my fault
just a few speeding tickets

I have a car through them also, and another policy for other expensive crap, so that helps too.

get registered with insurance and then canceling it or do what im doing right now and dont have it registered... and trust me, i been at the DMV about 8 times now (since oct 13th, when i bought the bike) i feel like cirsus dog right now. They are just making me jump thru hoops. long story short - it's in my dad's name, he is up in Idaho and I didn't get the MSO intil he left (that was because the motorcycle shop "forgot to" give it to us) so there no singature from him.. also needed to get an affiviated of non-residency because our intended was to take it to CDA,Idaho but too cold now - which needed my dad to fill out and get an official noteriser (sp?). it's funny, i'm trying to give them $768 to register and they wont take it... (idaho wont let me register up there intill they see the bike for inspection, where vegas doesnt care because it's was bought in-state) i'm just trying to get it to Idaho for the cheaper insurance...

but anyways,

i just turned 21 on 23rd of october.
living in Las Vegas and paying i believe $235/month for just liability from gieco.. (with my dad being primary insruance holder because he has no accidents, tickets and is old haha)
myself, I have 2 speeding tickets (all under 20mph) no accidents..

for Idaho (before i was 21 and before MSF discount) they want like $3,060/year for full coverage
which is like $255/month but for full coverage
also that is State farm i believe or Farmers (cant remember which one haha)
I do remember one thing the agent said, he was like "yeah it jumped so much because you went from a 600RR quote to a 1000RR" - it was like $2,000/year with the 600RR fullcoverage

so hearing like $480 a year for full coverage gets me ticked off because i could use that extra money to pay off the bike instead of the insurance (funny how in 3 years, the insurance i will pay can buy me a new bike...)
