Default Mileage and Versus Questions

anyone have a rough idea of mileage to a tank of gas... the 1000RR has the same size tank as the 600RR(4.8 gallons)...
Does the 1000 not go as far on a tank as the 600 will? I do about 50/50 driving between highway and city so, just curious. BTW, the 1000RR im talking about is a 2004 I may be buying, it is why i am asking, it is between that or a 2006 CBR 600RR...

thanks

Fuel light comes on around 150 miles moderate riding.
Much sooner when speed, RPM and torque is increased.

Ive got an '05 (pretty much exact same as '04 minus graphics) and beating it up, I'll get about 117 till the light comes on, which is 3.5 gallons.
really really babying it ill get 135-150.I fill up when the light comes on so thats what im basing this off of.

so basically this is how it goes. 3.5 gallons untill reserve (light will come on) which means 0.7 gallons left.

WhenI'm 50/50 driving it,I get 30-35 miles to the gallon.

When babying it, i get 40-50 miles to the gallon.

When hammering it. Ive gotten85 at the least. but usually around 110-115

Doesthis help you?

2006 600RR:

Babying it around...........145-160 miles until the last bar starts flashing (equivelant to the light coming on)

Babying with some WOT and fooling around.............120-135 miles

The MOST I've ever got out of it was 169 miles, and that was highway driving at a steady 55 mph........and the light was blinking for about 8 miles.
