I guess I hit something on the freeway and now I need to replace the lower left fairing on my 07 1000.
Anyone know the factory part number or know where I can pick up one in decent shape, or preferably a new one without being raked over the coals? I'm thinking $200 for a used one on ebay is a little steep but I don't know what they are new yet.

 

Take it off and look on the inside it should be marked with letters and numbers in the plastic.

This site has a OEM section, itson amicrofiche style page. prices are usually pretty good.

 

Check these guys out. Cheapest I've been able to find for OEM. Your looking at $171 plus shipping for the lower cowl. Just make sure you order the right paint code. I had a sticker under the rear seat that had the paint code on it or you can just call and ask them.

You should be able to find a good one on ebay for a lot less than 200.

check ebay. i bought both sides for my 06 for $90, including shipping. i wanted to paint the lowers red but wanted to keep a factory set as well.
