Me too. I'd use a breathable cover like a sheet, and put the battery on a trickler/maintainer after removal. I've heard of people fogging the cylinders, but I'm not sure how beneficial that would be for this bike.
Not sure what you could do... but my bike has sat almost a year now and the chain has some decent surface rust? i wonder if lubing it would help, depends on where it is being stored i guess.

I've heard the deflate the tire bit before, but not sure about that. It would almost seem to be worse that way but I have no firsthand knowledge so maybe somebody else can answer that.
Two stands would be ideal, though. You can get a front and rear set of T-Rex stands on ebay for about 100 bucks. I've seen them and they seem fine for normal use. There are better stands available but not for that money. Pit Bull run over 200 for front and rear, sometimes closer to 300 depending on where you get them.
I have been told that if stands are not available, you can put the bike on soft wood or deep carpet scraps to help the tires maintain their shape, but I have no firsthand knowledge of that either. May be worth looking in to if you are going without stands.
I'm trying to find an old thread I read about storage because it said something about what to put in your tank to preserve it and what not. I'll put that in here if I find it. I think there was a special storage additive that kept all the lines clean.

That would be easyer , fill tank and add Sta-bil,
Actually, that old storage thread I was thinking of was by HARDCORP before he spent some time in the Middle East. You may want to PM him and see how it turned out and what exactly he did or would do differently. He can probably offer a really good amount of advice as he knows plenty of people that have had your same situation.
