LighTech sliders for a 2006

Nice find. It's hard to tell, but it almost looks like the slider touches the fairing, which means it might rub (???). Otherwise, I like the bracket, much more robust than the Shoguns. Those look like they might hold up. They are very pricey though, $130 for the pair!!!

Yah, I don't mind the price if it saves me from cutting the plastic.
I was hoping I wouldn't have to be the guinea pig.... I will if I have to, tho.
Anybody already try these?

Seen a guy on another site with these on. Look very good, stable for no cuts. He likes them alot, hasn't had the chance to sample them though. Good thing for him, bad for others. LOL, J/K

I have installed shogun on my '06 1k and I have already heard all about them but after looking at this pictures and having gone thru the installation on mine, I am almost 100% sure that will have to cut since that bolt it is jus behind the fairing. I am kind of ready to say that you have to cut!!!!!

The no cut sliders on OP's site look real good but it seems to me the weak point will be the mount that kicks the slider out enough away from the side cowl. If the slider takes a hard enough hit it seems likely that the mount will break and possibly crack the engine side casing. IMO, unless you are expecting no higher then 0-5 MPH drops, I think the direct mount and cut systems are the way to go.

I'm inclined to agree with most others regarding no cut sliders. I think aesthetically and for very low speed drops or knock overs these would be ok (also Shoguns). Anything else I just see them doing more harm than good. I'm just gonna bite the bullet and cut mine.
