Went riding this weekend. It was a very nice ride. But it had to come to a sad ending. My seat cowl is KIA ( killed in action ) on the 5 freeway near LAX, yes the screws vibrated loose and blew the plastic cowl right off. So heres a tip for those out there. Silicone the screws on or check periodically. It could happen to you.

just experienced the whole seat cowl flying off!! it was my error though... didn't lock it down all the way. lesson learned. got lucky and was able to retrieve it in one piece.

Had the same problem with mine. Reason being is when they come from the manuf. they have no lock washer on them, just flat. Pffffff, what a bunch of F**king idiots. Throw some lock washers or the lock-tite and you'll be good.
