Default Just got my Brand New 06 1000RR

I just picked up my new 06 1000RR last Friday, and I'm at about 560 miles, just enough for a ride to the dealership. I called the dealer for my first service, and they quote me 400 dollars, and they can squeeze me in in two weeks.

So...I know this has been posted before, but ADJUST MY VALVES at 600 miles?[:@] What the Hell. 400 dollars to adjust my VALVES. Sounds about right. Do they think I alreadt lost my manual, where it says inspect valves at 16000 miles.[:@] Two years from now. Then I'll give them 400 dollars. There is no way in hell they will actually do the service, they may change the oil, maybe not.[:@]

They know the chain is fine, they know the valves don't need adjusted, but they'll take my 400 dollars.[:@]

Is there a single bike shop in the world that isn't organized crime?[:@]

I guess that's because all riders are ********[:@], or just the ones that sell bikes are. Why won't one decent person open up a shop. I'll drive anywhere to go to an honest shop.

Well, I feel better...[sm=sorry.gif]

Sorry to hear about the stealership......I pulled my receipt for my 600 mile maintenance and it was for $127.95, why is yours so much?

I don't care what they charge I got a 3 yr maintenance package with my purchase (the only thing I pay for is brake pads). I just did my 8k maintenance and I still have 2 yrs left on the plan.
