Default Insurance pains

Is it the correct assumption to think that every person riding a 'sports bike' and under the age of 30 is going to ride unsafely?
I have been jumping through the hoops to get some finance and insurance for my new CBR1000. I have the finance part covered but when it comes to insurance I have found most people don't want to know me. I'm not sure how easy it is in the states, but here in Aus it seems unless your over 30 or have had full comprehensive insurance since birth, any insurance agency assumes your an absolute lunatic that want's to crash. [:@]
For the occasional agency that did give me a quote, it ranged anywhere between $3200 ($2442 US) a year, up to $6000 a year ($4579 US).
I'm going to get my bike no matter what, but these ****** are making it very hard!
Has anyone else had to deal with these sorts of exploits?

I'm in the UAE and here no matter how hard you try, most companies won't even insure bikes, they expect that you're going to die on your bike and they don't want to have to be paying for it. I called a 100 companies in 1 day and out of those I only found 2 that insure and they only give third-party. No company will give out full insurance unless you're middle-aged and can get it through your company. I had to settle for $200/year third-party insurance.

Finance it through honda card or buy it outright and buy basic insurance.

I live in Vegas and I am 34 years old. My limits of liability are 100/300 bodily, 50 property, 100/300 uninsured motorist. No comp or colision. All this thru Geico.

First of all, it obviously matters where you live. So comparing someone who lives in Los Angeles to Montana will have a big difference in quotes.

As for me, (LA), I am looking at 2,500 no matter who I use for full coverage.

From reading other posts and talking to people (this is a big topic for liter owners) it seems that Triple A offers the best deal but only if you insure all vehicles and your mother.

I will hit them up when my period is up. Was a pain to move everything over on the fly when I was desperately looking right when I rolled the bike from the lot.
