I beat the BUSA!!!!!!!!
You beat A busa not THE busa. Stock for stock the hayabusa will beat a cbr1000rr anytime anywhere. You can tweak a scooter and it will be faster than something else. Its cool to smoke the competition or have a race and win. But having both a hayabusa and a cbr1000rr the busa just gets smoother the faster it goes. Love both bikes, I don't know about the cbr1k but the busa was given a speed cap. It did 194mph or 196mph stock then they put the cap on it and it only did what 189mph now. The cbr does what 180mph or 185mph stock. quarter mile times are low to mid 10s on the cbr but the busa can do high 9s stock. I don't know but they both are kick azz to me and if you beat em hey more power to ya. But don't think for a sec that the hayabusa is old and not up to par with the newer 1ks. Its still a bad bitch. How do you bypass the speed limiter anyways.
You install a TRE, Timing Retard Eliminator. It changes the timing in the engine and allows it to bypass the stock speed, letting it get itno the 220s an so on.

also if you go to sport rider and go to performance numbers the 061krr is listed as 9.898 @146 in the quarter and they show three busa and none of them are faster actually 2 of them are in the 10's............
ko ok
enough of the bashing this guy didnt start this stuff his friend did. and as for the squid part all you guys that bought these bikes bought them for 2 things the way they handle and the power they have and if any of you havent been over the speed limit on these bikes then you havent riden them long enough. now the friend and this guy didnt make a wise dicision by doing this on the highway but if all is known iam sure we all have our special places even you guys that are police officers i no some where i live and they all have their special places. now we no this took over a quarter mile run because he said he was in the 160s and we all no the 1000rr will not do that in a quarter mile. enough said the guy on the busa started this and in a fairrace was beat now you that cant handle it buy a busa i for one thought the out come would be different myself i own a 1000rr and i no i cant ride that good . good going but next time think before you postgood luck on your move.

" Actually if I go and do a little research " well I own both bikes how more indepth can I get and as far sport rider magazine yes you are correct in seeing the numbers they put up. But you can go to another site and they are different. Motorcycleusa.com has figures close to mine. Wasn't trying to bash this guy. Sorry if anyone took it that way.
Maybethey shouldswitch bikes and run again. Why not its all in fun.

Like I said in the original post, when he said his friend wanted to race him. You guysare getting realtechnical with the bikes. The real race isthe rider with the Biggest *****, and Better, Rider/Launcher, when it comes down to two riders with bikes that are tenths apart. It's not the bike so much in that case.
To Hobbs51, he was probably at146 to 150 actual speed, with correct radar reading and bad speedo reading (The bikes speedo is not accurate at those speeds) Which is about what the bike will do in a quarter mile.
Congratulations to the CBR1000 better rider.
