just wondering how much is left in 6th gear when topping the bike out... the other night i was coming home from ruby tuesdays and i opened it up on the way home and hit 178 in 5th gear then shifted to 6th but slowed down b/c the helmet was ready to coem off my head and i could barely see... bike is bone stock

and no im not a newbie, i'v been ridin for 5 years... just a simple question of how much is left in the bike..

 

it will hit 185, but your stupid for doing that on the freeway.

we have all done stupid things but that's really putting your life and others at risk, you realize at that speed a unsecured load that falls onto the rode turns you into mulch? guess you didnt think about that..

i'v seen all kinds of things fall off the back of trucks and they sit on the freeway for hours..

hope you can jump a 4x4 or a mattres at 180MPH. I know i cant

 

it was at night no1 was on the road and i installed a jetpack on the bike so i dont have to worry about those things

 

i will have to say i did the samething about 3 weeks ago, i was on the freeway with no cars on the road and i was in 5th gear doing 174 and i always wondering how fast does this bike go and my bike is bone stock at the time. so i think that was a good question

 

yea yea road empty, and that counts for??? at 100+ you can not n will not be able to stop or react fast for ANYTHING that pops up, But go for it.

Here's an easy way to find out. shift in to 6th and dont puss out... You may see 185 on the speedo but even bone stock there is error.

 

yep...ur right...even at 185-186 mph its an error. I heard its off a few mph. (2-5) but thats a question. How much is the speedo off technically ??

Its always a risk getting on these machine but at those speeds even more.

I think we are are all risk takers getting on these sportsbike but some are more risk takers than other...ie: stunters

I once seen this dude do a stand up wheelie and he fell and his femur came completely out of his skin exposing all bone. It wasnt a pretty sight.. As Ive seen pics of a rider going 176mph and crash being splatered all over...


I think there is a place and time "if" you wanna take a risk..totally your call..


hey roj....wow this reminds me of a time i might have been going 80-90mph on the highway at night mind you and all of a sudden.. a metal looking box object.. and I had to quickly react to push the gyroscopic effect of my bike...and recovered.

I also had to check my underwear ......
