Okay what I would like to know is how many 08CBR1000RRs honda brought into the northamerican market. It seems like there are 600s everywhere but not so many 1000s. Anybody know?

 

Iwould have to think it all depends on demand. You dont have alot of people that purchase the 1k for price and insurance and speed. I know its the same in just about every dealership here. You can get a 1k but you usually have to order it in.

Honda expects the sales numbers i8n the US to be a few percentage points over the 06-07 numbers. The 06-07 1000RR's totaled 20,000 units over the two years, or 10K a year average.

You got 237 out of a particular color/who knows what. Google the VIN and see what each section means.

First two digits HJ= honda japan 4 to 8model 9 to 10 manufacturing plant= Hammamatsu Japan 11 control digit 12 to 17 sequential serial number.Are there different model codes for different colors? Mine is red/black sc592

 

Honda does not release their numbers. Where did you get that info cause I have been looking for those types of numbers. I also think that is way they have a six digit sequintal serial number. Thrasher is your number 000237?
