Hmmmm...
I bought a cbr 1000RR since I been in Iraq I go home in Jan.. I've ridin 900's 750's but never a 1000.. I've been told by some people that ride bike that I should hook the engine up before I get used to the factory and that would make it easier.. But others say leave it stock until I get the feel for it... Well i guess it's poll time.. What would you do in this situation.. And you have the money to do whatever to the bike..

The new 1000's ( all of them..R1,ZX10, ect..) all have TONS of power; so I say you should ride it the way it is and then make the decision..a few years ago 140 HP at the rear wheel was alot..now it it isnt even in the playing field unless you have close to 150, and the ZX10 has about 160+ from what I understand. This is power at the wheel, not the crankshaft..which is useable ( like you need it) power when it is at the rear wheel

Well dude ask yourself a couple questions. First do you plan on racing the bike at the track or just street? If your going to race sure but if your just street riding I would just get new pipes, power commander, air filter! Depending on where you live going faster than 180 mph is not in most of our futures. if ya want to drag it out there is a turbo kit for it but it costs over $5000.
