Default HID pics

Installed a true HID for the low beam and here's some pics. Easy installation ... maybe 1hr total. If I do end up adding a second one for the hi beam then it'll take longer cause I'll have to find a new hiding place. Geez, not much space to put crap on these machines[8D] Well, enjoy ....

With the low beam HID on you barely even notice when you flick on the high beam. So I might do some tweaking and see if I can aim it down a bit to keep from blinding peeps and adding the HID to it also. Prolly be a month or so til I do anything but I'll post pics if/when I do something else.

did you try putting the ballast under the windsheild? Worked for my brothers R1. He fit two under there. Might be worth a try.

Ya, when the other box gets here I'm gonna take the nose off and search for room. If there's not enough space in there I'll just mount the other ballast on the opposite side of the first and relocate the igniter to the nose frame on each side. The only tough part of the install is figuring out where to tuck everything.

Here's what it looks like with the 2nd installed. Adjusted hi-beam so it shoots the same as low. The hi-beam is a little different though but so far nobody's flashed me yet. Hid the ignitors under the faring -- you can barely see one of 'em.
