Im having an issue with my 1000 that seems to be the Clutch. It takes off like it is supposed to when I release the clutch. The problem is when I crank the throttle it picks up in RPMs correctly but the bike does not take off nearly like its supposed to. It speeds up like a 250 and Revs like I still have the clutch lever in. Any Ideas would be appreciated.

 

what year 1000rr is it? sounds like a slipping clutch.

 

definately a clutch issue. check your clutch cables make sure they are adjusted properly. If thats not the problem break out the book (Or youtube) or go to a professional. (i never do lol. i sink hundreds in to find out it was something stupid...) you may have to replace your clutches. Btw to tight a cable will cause this as well. lol

 

His clutch issues were 7 years ago....
