I haven't done it yet, but I've been told that Bridgestone Battleax BT-002s are really good on the 1k.... for whatever that's worth.

Dont mess up you handling with too wide a tire....... if the profile is wrong it will work you to death counter stearing in the twisties....... been there done that.

Cant go wrong with Pilot powers 2ct's either.......best tire on the road....well....for the road....lol

I wouldn't go any wider than the 190, that's plenty enough meat for you and Rod is right, you'll just mess with the handling. Not much but there's really NO need.

The stock Bridgestones may not be the most popular choice, but they have exceded my expectations and I'm going to upgrade to the new Bridgestone BT-003's when the time comes. I'm getting good wear and they are reasonably predictable, no surprises. Well, I was actually surprised the other day when I did a hard downshift into a corner and she started to drift out on me, (thanks slipper clutch!...not) thought I was all done but she hooked back up again and into the corner we went, surprised and relieved!

I'm really happy with my bridgestone BT-016s. So far I've gotten good mileage out of them too, but they are starting to get pretty worn on the sides where the real soft compound is.

It depends on what kind of roads, what conditions and how you ride though. I chose BT-016s because I ride year round in varying conditions but I wanted more cornering performance than any of the sport-touring tires offer.
