I m new my self, I just got cbr 1000 08 red and grey, I took it for a ride last night and I love the beast except I fish tailed it cause the chain had allot of grease but nothing serious I just had a closed call.
I use to have 05 rr for the track and r1 raven 05 but this bike tops it all on 1, 2, and 3 gear.
I can wait to take it for a ride when it gets a little warmer in here NYC. Peace to all

ya it stays inside and is fairly easy to get in and out so why not.also i like the deep stare it gives me when i watch tv. i road 250mi round trip today all twisties and was awsome. if any question on how to road this 1000rr i may be able to help. as for this fish tailing i urge u to upgrade to the michelin pilots and do not touch that throtle in the middle of a high speed turn. but once you get use to it you will love it.im the only rider in my group that can lean this bike far enough on street to take off arrows on rear tire. hence no chicken strips..
