have an 04 CBR 1000rr, will 06-07 plastic fit?
I love my 04, and can't afford a newer style cbr,and i really don't like the 08 cbr compared to the 06-07 style. my bike is silver right now, and i want it all black. i've looked at 07s in the show room and have found nothing thats very different with teh frame in where the fairings mount. but i'd like to ask you guys if you know anyone who has tried this. I'd like to put all the 06-07 fairings on my 04 cbr 1000rr. what do you guys think? thank you and this site seems to have a lot of info!!!

sorry to say someone is wrong or lying. but he is. the frames are exactly the same the motor is the same besides a lighter stator cover. there are only a few diff in between the 04-05 and the 06-07. like swingarm is shorter the engine covers are black(and lighter) the exhaust heat cover has diff mounting holes and the brake side rearset is diff shape, the ecu is now under tank.the only thing you have to buy is the overflo bottle and the upper brackets that attach those black covers.the only headache you are going to have switching over is the ecu as you have to fit snug next to frame and under the side fairing i had to make and extension to do this. and you ask how do i know all this well look at my 05 1000rr now........

what did you read that you didnt get the answer???????? "frames exactly the same"[sm=chairshot.gif]04-05 has bronze engine covers and 06-07 has black engine covers so if my pic shows 06-07 body work but has 04-05 engine covers what is it??????? um um a 04-05 with 06-07 bodywork. i just researched your other posts and i see your a negative poster so i will disregaurd anything you have to say. good day[sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley20.gif]

29.99 at my local dealer(cheaper ebay).easy depends on your level of handy work if you can change your oil you can change your blinkers. you just need the filler plastics that the new leds will need tohold onto the fairings.
