Default Good price for CBR1000RR

Hi guys i'm new to the forum and I was looking to buy a brand new 1000RR from the dealer.

Checked out a local dealer and here are the numbers they gave me:

1400 Down
9500 for the bike
2000 for freight and handling

I was just wondering if this is a good deal, or should i be trying to lower the price are avoiding the down. Also, is the 2k freight and handling charge normal?

So far i have only gone to one dealer, plan to check out a few more but I was just wondering what kinda numbers i want to be looking for.

Sorry for all the questions first bike im buying from the dealer.

Thanks!

IMO the 08 is not so hot looking. Red headed step child thing. If you like them then great but that still sounds high. I know they are lighter etc. But find a slightly used 07 and you will save $ have a better looking bike. Good luck.

Call me a nub, but waht's TT + L? tax title and documentation fees?

also the same dealer has an 07 cbr1000 new, for sale too. I'm thinking of going for that one if it's significantly cheaper. I have no idea what's around resonable for a new last year model bike.

(Sorry, this is the OP. I wasn't near a computer so my friend Created the thread for me.)
Again, im sorry about all the nub questions but this whole dealer high pressure financing situation is new to me.

$9500 is a good deal. Just tell them to shove the $2000 for freight and assembly where the sun dont shine.

Seems a bit high to me also. I got my new (left over) 07 2 months ago for $8999+TT... I did my research and found the cheapest was $8784/8999 new online across the US. I just went in and said I wanted 4k for my 04 600r and $8999 for a new 07 with no setup fees or its not going to work. Took them a few hours and it was done.
