OK so if I buy a 1000rr bike and ive been riding a f4i for sometime, is this new 1000 cc bike going to be less safe on the curves, or to much power for street riding. i guess what iam saying is the the 1000cc as easy to control as far being safe on the street?Or do you have to be more alert all the time just riding around?

 

All i can say is enjoy the power just because you have it you dont have to use it all the time

 

I agree, it only goes as fast as yoy open the throttle, just take your time to learn the new bike.

 

is the throttle very sensitive on the 1000 as far as coming off the throttle and getting back on it in the curves.

 

I have to remind myself every now and then that there IS an "off" position for the throttle![sm=drooldude.gif]

Chuckle. A long time ago when I was riding '600' and I got stuck driving the 'cage' (for you usenet fans out there) to work, I was so starved for speed that the accelerator pedal in the car had two positions. To the floor, and off.

 

I just did this very thing last week - traded in my F4i for the 1KRR.

For sure the 1K has more low end torque and overall power, but just take your time to get used to the new ride. I don't have much saddle time, but I'm luvin it.

 

if you open the throttle like you did on your 600 coming out of a corner you wont have to worry about the corner it want br their you will be of the road in the ditch because it will light the rear up and high side you

 

Not to hijack the thread, but OldFatGuy, your bike is f'ing SWEET! I can't get over how awesome that paint scheme is. I've been riding on the street for only about a year. I've got an F4i that I love. At least I thought I did until I saw your 1000RR. It would be nuts for a novice like me to upgrade at this point but it's damn tempting.
