Default Gettin rid of the stickers

I got a black 05 and i am havin trouble takin off the honda wings and the silver stripes on the side of gas tank. They almost seem like they have a coating on them so they wont come off. No problem taking anything else off just on the tank. Does anybody have any idea how to get them off without messin up the paint?

This has been discussed quite a few times in here.

But, I am very sorry to tell you this. You stickers are being hidden under your clear coat. You will have to take the proper steps in removing the coat before removing the stickers. Its a shame. Go ahead and do a search on here for "decal removal" etc or consult your local body shop.

Sorry and best of luck.

Adam

Others have reported that they've been able to get these decals up. Yes, they are covered by the clear coat on the tank. However, you can still use a razor to pick through the cc and pick up a corner of the decal to pull it up. It will peel through the cc. However, after you get the decal up you be able to see an obvious outline where the decal was.
