Please dont bash me im new here. i have done alot of searching on this flapper mod. i have an 06 1000rr. i can not find the flapper on my bike. i have seen the site that shows step by step how to remove it but still cant find it. i have even removed my entire left side fairing and cant find it. i see the alot of grey hoses that connect to different things but still need help. if anyone has pics on an 06 1000 i would appreciate it.

 

All your looking for is a gold colored valve that can very easily be seen w/the fairing on. Its the only gold lookin thing your gonna see. Just be carefull not to break it loose from its mounting when you pull the vac hose off, its usually stuck on there pretty good. If you can get it to twist first it should come off. I would suggest just pullin/pluging the vacuum line. Removing the valve n all that is a lot of work for very little gain.

I have a yoush slipon with a power comander and custom map and I hooked my flapper back up because I can't get rid of the abruptness of of idle .It is alittle smother with the flapper conected

doing the flapper to my 05 1krr helped greatly with the throttle response!! But I did get a new map from anubis for the pcIII
