Default fast blinkers

Whats up ya all! Well i just put some new flush mounts on the front and rear of my 954; not the real expensive ones, just some cheapies, and they seem to flash way fast now. I was thinking i may be able to replace the flasher with a heavier one????? If anyone has had this prob or knows whats up with it, please help.
thanks , ride safe

depending on what the power draw is each on the front and the rear, you might need to put one of those load equalizers for the front and black. i put one from kuryakyn on the back of mine and it worked fine. then i put new signals on the front and found that they are low power draw too. so now they all blink fast. each equalizer should have 3 wires. one for ground and one each for power to the signals. they are real easy to connect, but its sometimes harder to find a place to fit it. i put mine in the tail and wish now i re-wired it to fit under the seat. if your electrically inclined, it will be an easy fix

A couple of 4 Ohm resistors wired parallel across the blinks should slow it down.

i finally got tired of the fast blinking. i wasnt too happy with the signals either, so i bought a new set for the front and back. they are nice/clear lenses. the best part, they are the 12v 23w lights. so they blink just like the normal ones. plus i got to get rid of all those extra wires and mess. i still routed the right signal wires through the tail, but it is so out of the way, it doesnt take up any space. now all i have taking up space is the power commander. every time i take it apart, i look for somewhere else i could mount it. then ill be able to carry 2x as much, even if that is only 3 pair of sunglasses as opposed to 1. ill post some pics somewhere when i get them loadeed.

I thinks Greggs Customs recommends an 8ohm 20watt resistor wired in parallel for each signal. Basically it has to be soldered or spliced between the positive and negative leads for each signal. What it does is cause more resistance (hence the term "resistor") and makes your flasher relay see the load of a standard 20 watt incandescent light bulb, verses the very light load of the leds.
