Default Exhaust Mod

I have been told by numerous people, that if I want my stock exhaust pipe to be loud, then I should pour a gallon of water down the pipe. Doing that will burn the packing in the exhaust, thus making it louder. Is this a myth and will it damage the bike at all?

my god you are kidding right?

if you want your exhaust to be louder drill holes through the back of it with an 18" extension and a 1 inch hole saw or get an aftermarket pipe

whats the big deal about a loud pipe anyway. the better performing pipe are quieter

There's no packing in there, just baffle plates. Water wouldn't do a thing.

LOL, wtf. never heard of this before. plus, if you put water into your exhaust, you'll ruin your exhaust(rust). if you want a loud exhaust, get an aftermarket exhaust.
