EBAY-HONG KONG Plastics =GOT EM *PICS*
I will not be posting pics until monday evening but I figured I'd wet your lipswith the narrative portion 8) in the meentime (maybe a sneak preview). So I wrecked early April, and screwed my right upper and front end (the bike cart wheeled) It was so depressing, a truely terrible experience, actually it was bleeding f'in nightmare.
Anywho- April 9th I ordered the complete set offa Ebay (auctmarts1). I did lots of research and from all of my studies, this seller was the best. Even with this seller there was a chance of getting a cracked fairing, run in the paint, or some other unforeseen deformaty, but, I decided to gamble.
It woulda cost me approx 450ish to replace the damaged OEM fairings so I figured I pay a little more and completely redo the look / scheme of the bike. The Fairngs were 434.00 + 250 shipping. I got the fairings in on Monday (06/02/2008). almost two months after ordering them, I was loosing my mind. I requested a tracking number from the business after about a month and still recieved no reply for two more weeks. Finally I got the tracking number and the set was at my door in less than a week.
in total, it took about eight hours to put everything together. I heat taped (60' of 1500` resistant tape) on the lowers and uppers due to melting some have experienced. Once taped, peoples heating issues were resolved. I had to bore out some of the holes, namely on the front fender, cause they werent nearly big enough. There were some slight fitment issues- will show on the photos, but nothing really noticable. I had purchased a complete set of bike bolts, knowing from the research I'd need em, and I DID.
after all was said and done, I am so happy with the way my bike looks. All right, I will give you a glimpse of the set, but it looks so much better on the bike. A little back round if you dont follow racing. James Toseland (52) is the current W.S.B. (World Super Bike) Champion. He is currently with Yamaha in the MOTOgp circuit (his first year). But he rode for Honda and won the championship in 07' on a 2007 CBR 1000RR (my bike).
I will be getting the two (2) OEM fairings with next years tax refund. But I do luv this set. Pics in mon evening.

RE: EBAY-HONG KONG Plastics =GOT EM *PICS*
I had the same fitment issue in same location. I fixed that by loosening up the mounting bolts a little bit then drip a little superglue in the crack and used some painters masking tape to pull peices together and hold until glue sets. That was in November and several wheelies and quite a few 160mph pulls ago, still holding strong.
