Default Dyno run on my 06 CBR today....

I got my bike dyno-ed today in Fairfax VA. there was also a 05 R1, and a 05 Gixxer 1000.

we all ran with in 30 minutes of each other. the conditions were: 95.49 F - 29.86 in-Hg - 15% humidity - 245ft above sea level.the attachments are to follow here shortly, i emailed the photobucket link to my yahoo account and it has not come thur yet...

anyways here are the numbers:

my bike 2006 CBR1000rr, 1950 total miles, flapper mod, completely stock
151.30 HP
79.80 torque (is that spelled right?)

2005 yamaha R1, 8547 total miles, completely stock as well
146.5HP
72 Torque

2005 Gixxer 1000, 12000 total miles, yoshi full system, pc3r (custom mapped) K&N filter, and i think that is it
165.80 hp
82.10 torque

here is my sheet

Man that's a smooth line! And a nice wide flat spot at the top end. Love it!

thanks,

man you guys should have heard all the **** that R1 guy was talking.... especially when i told him it was a CA model... he was all like "OH MY GOD THAT SUCKS, YOUR GONNA BE LIKE 8 HP BEHIND ALL OF US" and " MAN I AM GLAD I DIDNT GET A HONDA, MY R1 PULLS WAY HARDER"

the look on his face when his "R1" only put out 146.5.....

i cant wait to see what i get when i get my full yoshi on it with a custom map

Nicely put SirJag!! I can imagine his s**T face when he saw your numbers..haha!! BUT BUT BUT...dun be too happy yet bro!! I had the same experience with my buddy who ride an R1..we dynoed together and mine put out 145hp stock and his 146hp stock too. We went out 1 nite and decided to test it on road...I was left behind bout 20 metres behind him from 3rd gear onwards all the time!!

Next I had all the mods done as stated below and it churned out 150hp..and again we test it out on the road. This time the R1 had an Akra slip-on and race BMC filter..AND AGAIN I WAS LEFT BEHIND AFTER 3rd gear onwards!!!

My point is..the low rpms that our blade is able to pull(11k plus) is sooo much inferior to the R1's 13k plus redline dat even with higher hp we can't match the R1 on the long run...

Juz imagine this..If both bikes put out 150hp with the 1KRR redline @ 11k and the R1 redline @13k..at 11k rpm our 1KRR has nowhere to go where else the R1 still got e extra 2K rpm to pull past you..that explains my theory on why the R1 can pull better than our 1KRR!!

Juz my 2 cents worth..Sir!! LOL...

i cannot beleive this graph man.

this kind of power curve can't exist on a bike, at least liter sport bike, sorry.

4000 rpm : 82 hp
5000 rpm : 93 hp
6000 rpm : 112 hp
7000 rpm : 133 hp
8000 rpm : 142 hp
9000 rpm : 150 hp
10000 rpm: 150 hp
11000 rpm: nothing !

if you are not joking, better you change dyno shop.

Look closely!! Its not in RPMs its in secs!! Its even worst..I think! Who would dyno a power graph over time?? Its suppose to be POWER(hp) on the y axis(vertical line) and RPMs on the x axis(horizontal line)...

I'm not too sure if power over time can be use but normally its power over rpm..Dude SirJag you better check it out!! Maybe I'm wrong..but juz check.

yep, i scaned the other sheet he gave me, i have the one with the power / rpm/speed one......

i will put it on shortly...

james

i just looked at it, the whole thing just moves down a sec when you switch to pwr/speed.

it dumps off on the graph at about 11.5 or so..
