A lot of bases (stateside anyways) are moving away from the base decals. I just go to Keesler and never even had to get one. You might check to see if/when you base is canxing their decal program before you slap them on the bike.

Ahhhh never on the swingarm!!! I am part of Camp Pendleton's Motorcycle Safety. I have mine just taped on the inside of my windscreen. Had absolutely no problems getting on or off base. Order states as long as its permantly fixed to the bike. I seen some people use a thin piece of tin or aluminum and stick the DOD stickers on that. Then fancy some cook bracket. Bolt it on to the bike. Try to stay away from directly sticking it to any surface of the bike. When or if you get out of the Military then you have to take that crap off.

I made a small plate that I rolled to mimick the lower fork it also has a small radius cut out for the fork adjustment and uses the fender bolts.

i went to ace bought a piece of metal, a nut and bolt and attach to the bracket your reflectors connect to. it causes not damage to the bike and can be removed in secs. herepics of what i mean. you can put it up which looks better or hang it low if you want just rotate if up you need to bent back a little so not to hit the fender. and it is all good with themil regs

I just put them on the chain guard, its just a piece of plastic and can be replaced cheap and easy if the worst happens
