I was riding my bike at low speeds around town for 20 mins and then I took it on a highway. Going at 80 mph, slowed down, began downshifting, the engine died. Started the engine, rode for another 20 seconds, same thing happened. And then again and again. Feels like it happens at lower rpms.

No red light or engine light comes on when driving.

The bike was struggling, making this weird sound between each time

Bike has 8300 miles.

 

Where did the sound seem to be coming from? Can you get audio/video of it happening?

I have an SC59, year -14 and a very similar problem! Ridden on a bike 10 tkm, it is a crash bike. after rebuilding I drove about 2500km without any problems. Now after a while driving the bike starts to jerk a bit and after a while the engine dies in the middle of driving. I turn the power off / on and the engine starts quite normally until after a while the problem starts again. no fault lights come on ... I started to suspect the fuel pump or relay myself ..
