Default CBR or no CBR

Hello all!

I am new here and have decided to get another bike and just cant decide between the Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki or Kawisaki models.I know I am probably askinga biased forum but how do all these models compare in the "real world"? I know the stats say numbers but which one is actually faster and what makes them different from another? Does the Honda have something which makes it a better bike visa versa?

Honda has won all the shootouts for this year pretty much. Its not the most powerful of them, but its by far the lightest, has real nice mid range torque that makes it feel very fast, and actually in the 1/4 mile is the quickest because of that. All that being said, i have ridden the new honda, yam, and Zuki. If i were to go get a new bike today i would get the Gix 1000, the honda would win but i find it horribly ugly, thats my only downfall on it. If you like how it looks tho, its the best bike of the 4 imo.

the new 08 1000RR is amazing. the power to weight ratio makes it feel lighter faster and more nimble then almost every 600 i'v ridden let alone the 1000's I love it in every way, and it's so beautiful in real life.

I was just in your shoes fighting between gsxr and the cbr but after a lot of looking and stats. I got the 08 cbr 1000rr and the 600rr and I love it but the 1000rr's seat sucks if you ride for an hour or more your butt will hurt. I'm looking for a gel seat now!

i came off of an 06 750 suzi and was planning on getting a 1k suzi but they did not want to deal so i got the honda and man it handles just like my 750 but with a lot more power. but in my opinion you will be happy with whatever you get. oh and i always liked the way my 08 CBR 1000RR looks.

I have been digging more int ot he 1000cc bike and got to sit on a R1, Gixr and ZX10R. The dealer said:

Yamaha's always tend to lose 2nd gear
Honda does not win any pro races
Kawis are good.
Suzuki is the dominant bike in racing, easiest to mod and quickest
Ducati is just a money sucker with valve adjustments ect.

Can anyone help me sort this talk out??? Perhaps an unbiased truth.

At least you have it narrowed down. [sm=roll.gif]

Avoid this guy like the plague. He sounds like a real idiot.

You're not going to find that on a CBR forum or anywhere on the interweb for that matter. Get the 2008 1000RR and you'll never look back ... to see the competition. [sm=burnout.gif]

If you ask here your gonna get told CBR. If you ask at Gixxer.com guess what they are gonna tell you. Go read some reviews, magazine articles. Most importantly i would say go and test ride them, dont just sit on em. They are all good bikes.
