Buzz in the grips
just got my repsol 3 weeks ago and fined that i have a buzz in the bars enough to put your hand to sleep in about 5 min. it seems worst on the right side. i have had other bikes and dont remember it being that bad. anyone else have this problem ?
A lot of peeps that have problems with their hands going numb have a vulcan death grip on the bars and are supporting most of their upper body weight with their wrists and hands. I know because I used to do it too. A dude with much experience said "Don't hold the grips so damn tight and stop slouching" Hey, worked for me. As far as the buzzing -- I find my 1K RR to be rather buzzy all over. I'm not planning any iron butt marathons on it so I should be o.k.[8D]
Remember to try and keep your elbows bent as you are riding. That will help with the numbness in your hands some. Shake out your arms as you get the chance. My 900RR was pretty bad and I replaced the grips and put some aftermarket bar ends on and that helped alot.
I plan on installing some Heli Bars in the near future to help keep the hands from going numb ( still working on the deathgrip
)
That will kill two birds with one stone ( more comfort and steel braided front brake lines )

I only notice it at slow speeds 30-40 mph on mine, but it is less annoyin if you take most of your weight of the bars, work them abs boy!!
