Default Bridgestone Batlax 015 on new 2007 RR

I'm considering buying new 2007 Repsol RR and .. here in Oz they are fited with Batlax 015. As per my previous experience with Bridgestone Batlax tyres I was very surprised to see them fitted on the new 07 RR. I had Batlax ruber on my previous bike and they are the bigest crap I ever saw in my life.
Any thoughts about that?

For those that have the Battlax BT 015 tire, what pressures do you run? I weigh 220lbs, 90% street riding (comuting).

Yeah those tires suck ***.... I got an 07 repsol too and I rode for 100 miles on them then switched out to Pilot Power CT2. Best tire out and nota bad price for what they can do. I had a regular set of Powers on my 05 and got over 6500 miles outta them and two track days at Willow Springs in CA. And the bike is at the dealer with good tread and not squared off at all. Absolutley amazing!!!! Get these tires.

Whats so bad about the Battle Axe's? When I was reading the reviews about the 1000 before I bought it they only had good things to say about the tires.

Right on dude. I have an 05 Repsol and I yanked the Bridgestones and put on the 2CTs. There is nothing better.

Was just discussing this with OldFatGuy the other day. My '07 came with Pirelli Diablo Corsas, which I've never had before butI really like them. Maybe they put the bridgestone's on the repsols for some reason? A buddy's GSX-R1000 came with the bridgestone's and he went down a few months ago on a really slow speed turn in the nieghborhood. Now, the tires were cold, so that's what did it. I have no experience with these tires personally.

I had Battlax BT 057 on my BlackBird and that was a very scary experience. I replaced them with Pilot Road/Power and ... what a difference. Big difference.
