Default Big Tank Slapper

So was out yesterday evenin doin the round on my local raceway aka industrial estate, 85ish cranked right over on the left no knee slider left when WHAM!! the rear lets go and trys to have a bloody good go at throwing me off like a wild beaten bull.
Propper lock to lock job, and damn i`m pleased i bought the tame Honda!!! Stayed on did another few laps so i didn`t lose my bottle and then got off and praised the lord i didn`t have a big repair bill.

Alls I`ll say is the Honda steering damper is a bloody life saver, thanks big time MR Honda, can`t remember your first name sechorio or summat.

And yes i know i should have had supercorsa`s on the BT-014`s is what i`m on.

I kept having tank slappers when gunning the bike over slightly uneven surfaces from low speed. It seems that this was caused by low tyre pressures. When returning the pressures to 34 front and 40 rear, the slappers go away. I had the same at Donington last Tuesday when we lowered the pressures for the track, on exiting coppice leant right over at 80mph, the front end was all over the place towards Dunlop bridge. I was running 30 in the front and 32 rear.

Nice job Anubis. I've also found the stock damper to be quite able at squelching stupid things I do I have yet to break the BT-014s loose though.

RepsolJames -- If you're on the track running hard you gotta lower the pressure and adjust the suspension to get the maximum grip.

I think i over cooked em, you`d have to see the bends in question.
So round n round i go, long left(80Mph)gentle left(110)into long right(70) into gentle left(115 limiter in 2nd) into long left(80) across bridge(100) into the left i started on.

See the pic of a map, the right hand is too bumpy for knee down but the lefters are ace, so round n round i go gettin a few twitches from the rear until the dreaded happens. Thing is i`m always playin round there,, i`d say i was smooth on the throttle not deserving it to let go, and never had any problems? Bloody gay BT-014`s
