Best Turn Signals?

RE: Best Turn Signals?
definetly go with protons
they are pricey but very worth it
they also let you keep the running light feature.
they come clear but a lot of people (myself included) buy a can of tamiya clear amber model spray paint and color them amber
there is a write up on the specifics at
http://hooliganbiketech.dynup.net/ho...frameindex.htm
also here is a pic of mine
the amber looks great on the black bike by the way
they are year specific as well
the 04/05 has a different hole in the fairing than the 06
proton realized this and changed their design to accomodate

watson http://www.watsendesign.com/Honda_Pr...a_products.htm I have a pair on my 2006 f4I and they look awsome. Made of aluminum and then painted with 10 led's each blinker. Easy to install and plenty visible.

RE: Best Turn Signals?
i dont like the greggs
they dont project forward only to the side
my buddy has them on his rc51 and we did a test of him coming straight at me
from 30 yards away and straight on it was very difficult to see them
during the day
someone coming head on would have a lot harder time seeing the signal than either the protons or the watens
plus the greggs look like a sunny side up egg

RE: Best Turn Signals?
I agree with Baxsom about the visibility of the Greggs flush mounts on the 06. They are really recessed and are difficult to see head on. I had them installed by the dealer when I purchased the bike this past spring.
I thought that they installed the Greggs 05 version on my 06. It looked like Nevaeh Speed’s picture of the Hot Bodies lights a few post above. I couldn’t be bothered taking the bike back to the shop and start hassling with them about the install. I didn’t want to give up the bike and lose riding time, no matter what the reason. I did jury rig the back of the lights (between light & fairing) with some foam. This made them flush, just like the picture of Mga ODEN 04 1000RR.
I like them and now they are truly flush with the fairing and can be seen from any angle. I am thinking about switching them out this winter for the Protons. It’s probably just a passing thought and nothing will come of it. The Greggs are still at the top of the “to buy” list.
