WOW....Can The Blade be the new king of the hill here???? Just like these guys, I'm still indifferent to the looks, but considering how good the bike performs on the track and street, I'm warming up to it faster...Can this become my new track bike....hmmmmmm.

Great find with the video, I thought I'd have to wait a few weeks. I wonder when they'll start the shoot out test here in The US.

Yes, props to svrfan99 for finding this video.

Here is a concern... Do you think that we will be seeing a lot more squids in this forum (winning a superbike shootout and all)?

I think the looks will draw a lot of the squids away. That and it doesn't say "GSX-R" on the side. [8D]

i must admit, being new to the board i though there would be more squids on here. what a relief, i was wrong. there are squids on every make and model. i wonder how long it will be this summer before i see a 08 pass me on one wheel then see it wrecked down the freeway a few miles.

I think The CBR1000 has the fewest squid riders.

i would have to agree.. eveyone seems to go over to the gsxr for newbies.. or maybe yamaha.. expierenced riders seem to chose honda more.. i hate the looks i think of the 1000rr 08 but if it's the best bike then good for them.. i think i woudl stick with 06/07 1000rr..

I just cant wait til it comes out an I can see if the engine fits an older model. Just cant get use to the look. Im just still in love with the 06-07 or ever the 04-05 look

Any reason why they went away from the under tail exhaust? I personally HATE the stubby side mufflers that are comming on some of the newer bikes.

It's ugly as sin but it keeps the weight low compared to HIGH with an undertail and it can't help but weigh less as there is less plumbing needed, easier to install also keeps the price down for us to enjoy this new technology. The easier stuff is to add or work on the cheaper the end product will be.
It would appear that form certainly followed function on this bike........if it isnt meant to help it turn fast, stop fast and accelerate HARD......it's ugly. LOL.
