My 06 CBR1K has been in storage since November and I am going to pick it up tomorrow. I know it is not going to start, and my manual is under the rear seat storage. I just want a heads up before I go out there as to wear the battery is located so I can jump it when I get there. I am assuming it is under the seat. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also will be bringing the tools because I dont know what I have to take apart to get to the battery. Is it a pain in the A$$?

It's under the seat. All you have to do is remove the 2 bolts holding the seat down, slide the seat off and the battery is right there. Couldn't be much simpler.

Just make sure your tool kit is under the back seat before going. Reason being is that you need the allen wrench to remove the seat (in case you forgot).

Hey no problem, Sometimes it is the simply things that trip one up once in a while. Bet it will be nice to get her out of storage huh? I am in Dallas, trying to sneak out of work a little early to get a short ride in tonight, 63 degrees in my area today

 

Didn't need to jump it, it fired right up! I road from LA to Riverside, weather was perfect, somewhere around 70-74 probably. It's nice to have the beast back in my garage. Heading out for a ride before sunset now, take it easy.....
