What color Swatt bars did you decide on? OEM bars are black, but the triple tree bracket is silver.

I went with black, and am also getting black CRG levers. Still waiting for the Swatts to arrive...

As stated earlier the new updated bars no longer require replacing the front brake lines for those who may not have been interested in going that route. They've now lowered the price of the bars to 279.00 without the brake lines. I heard that they also added alignment pins like the stock bars have for setting the angle of the controls. I found a comparison photo on the Heli Bar website which shows an obvious difference from stock.

Looks like they may have trimmed the front cowl near the top of the windscreen?

could be...hard to tell from the picture. Hard to believe they'd do that though - I bought a set (returned them) and read through the instructions and talked to them at length and they never mentioned any mods other than bending the brake fluid reservoir bracket so that the cup sits level.

On my 2008, no modifications were needed at all to install the Helibars. one hour of labor at my local shop to install them.

I found the Swatt bars here. http://www.swattmotorcycle.com/Clip-Ons.html
They are much cheaper than the Helibars. Judging by the picture, Swatt does not include the bar. Its just the bracket. Can anyone confirm this?

Has anyone installed a 2 1/2" or 3 1/2" raise yet?

Got my Swatt's last Friday, but won't get them on until later this week. They come with the clip-on brackets for each side (very beefy looking and well made), plus bars (which appear to be about the same length as stock). Brackets are black anodized, bars are silver (but should be pretty much covered by the time they're installed).

After talking it over with the Swatt guys, I went for the 50mm with the 2 1/2" rise. According to Swatt, this should produce about 1 1/2" inches of additional height over the stock clip-ons (this is the result of a combination of the higher clip-ons, and the bar angle).

If for any reason these don't work, I'll probably go with GenMar risers (only 3/4" lift over stock) and leave it at that.
