another wheelie question?
After 2e100rr posted his thread it got me thinking about my wheelies....
I've been trying to do wheelies for a while but I was told that second gear is the safest way because everything is a lot smother except the speed which is a lot faster.
Is this true?
Also which one is the easiest to do:
Doing a wheelie standing up?
or
Doing a wheelie sitting on the seat?
In other words what would you recommend for begginers?

RE: another wheelie question?
yea start small..get your confidence first when the bike start lifting its wheel off the ground.
Remember be safe, cover your rear brake or ELSE YOU"LL END UP LIKE ME!! 12'O clock my blade and flipped it over..
I flipped it over when doing two up wheelie..The end result, a ravashing new paint work for blade17fire..
Neway..how's your carbon fibre look hugger doing?? haha..dun tell me you abandoned it..

cbrrookie...You may be interested in the course that OnOneWheel offers..it is a blast...
https://cbrforum.com/m_117458/tm.htm
In the class all we did was just throttle wheelies (no clutch) in 1st gear from 3500rpm (on a Triumph speed triple)....On my 1000RR I find you need to get to around 5000 rpm in first gear....overgrip the throttle (wrist pointed up high) and then quickly snap the throttle down)....It will easily come up for you.
The class is great and the nice thing is you can use their bikes...while you practice

RE: another wheelie question?
Keep ur *** in the seat to start! Learn what it feels like to ride one out for a bit then work on doin other tricks from there. If u start out standin up on ur first couple then u will probly end up bringin it down to hard one time and then gettin a nice tank slapper and ditchin the bike and ur self while ur at it. start small and work from there

It's Better to know a few things before you actually get frustated from doing them and than crash because of some stupid mistake.
