Default Air Flap Mod 2014 - Confused, need definitive answer

I've read and read on this in forum but much relates to 2008 models, so frankly I'm confused.
If I remove the vac line from both solenoid valves above the ram ducts out front, and block vac line with screw or golf tee, am I done? it is very unclear to me after all my reading whether if I do this, do the flaps then open and stay open on 2014 models as no good if they shut permanently. And lastly the vac line connects to a small black valve looking thing, and the domed thing. Which line do I disconnect please? I don't want to do mod until I understand how to do on 2014, and as I say much of existing info mixes model info to point it's unclear - to me anyway. Mike

If you do the mod you need to stick a screwdriver into the intake tubes and remove the flaps completely.
Remove everything related, including the canister under the front cowl. Block the vaccum line coming from the engine along the left side of the bike.
